Edgar and Sue Kaiser Letter
by Admin on Aug.19, 2009, under Best Wishes at 90
Dear Wally,
Sue and I are enormously disappointed that we could not be with you, Ermalee, your family, and friends at this celebration of your 90th birthday.
What you have given to Alaska and the Nation with your vision, energy and integrity cannot be measured just by words.
That which you give to young people as a mentor – not of facts – but of values and as an example of how to lead one’s life, is beyond words.
As Secretary of the Interior it was, as a young man, my privilege to serve with you.
In the development of every young person there are certain “older” figures who stand out as having made a critical difference in our lives and you were one of mine.
Sue joins me in thanking you for that which you gave me and so many others.
Happy Birthday, Boss,
Affectionately,
Edgar and Sue Kaiser

I thought I had left you a Happy Birthday message last week, but I can’t find it now. I think we are the last of the original KTVA crew. Best of health to you!
